New home in Daly City

So, last weekend I moved into my new home for the next 13 weeks. Brodie is adapting well, most of the time. I'm in a 2 bedroom-1 bath condo. 400 square feet on the first floor and 400 on the second. The 2 rooms and bathroom are upstairs. With a total of 800 square feet, its about the same size as my first condo, but costs around $325,000. WOW! My room is small, and I've filled the closet! But it works well for me, and the price is right!

Fun at Fort Funston

Brodie and I have found a great new place to get some exercise. Its about a 10-15 minute drive from home and is doggie heaven! Trails upon trails to venture on, and all areas are off leash. Lots of new things and dogs to sniff. We usually go here about 3 times a week! And yes, we stay away from the 'unstable cliff area'!

Whale Watching!

Today I went down the coast to Monterey to go on a whale watching tour. It was a great sunny day, and I even got a little sun on my face. Just because I'm in california, doesn't mean that its warm and sunny here all the time! The tour was just under 3 hours and there was lots of action! We were right in the middle of anywhere from 2-4 pods of whales. It was great to watch them blow ater through their blowspouts, then after that a few times they would put their tails up! Lots of bootie action! We didn't seen any whales jump out of the water, but they did get rather close to the boat when they took their tales out! So the type of whale that I am talking about are humpback whales! I can't believe how huge they are. A few times we saw 2-3 whales right next to each other. I hope that you like the few pictures that I took, thank goodness for digital! Lots of pictures to delete, but a few turned out really well! I think I took about 150 pictures, anytime there was a little movement of whales, the shutter was going! I may even go back again before I leave since I had a good time. They said that the morning time is the best (Ugh!) because its usually calmer water!

Fun at the Zoo!

A little while back I went to the San Francisco Zoo on a warm sunny day. There was a baby giraffe that had been born a few weeks before that. And, all the animals cooperated for their pictures!

Moved out of the city!

So, Brodie and I successfully moved out of the studio apartment in downtown, and moved to a condo in Daly City. Made it in one trip without a problem! Brodie seems to like Rose, my roommate. He is trying to adjust to the new noises, but is not that successfull with it. He kept waking me up during the night. Rose asked how I slept and I told her about Brodie. She said she never heard him (thank goodness!), but then she asked if that was why I had suck dark circles under my eyes! Nice!
Today Brodie and I ventured out to a place call Fort Funston. Holy doggie heaven! Trails upon trails to walk on for miles, right on and next to the beach. Its been foggy today so I didn't bring my camera but definitely will in the future. Of course now Brodie is working very hard at a good nap!
3 weeks until I come home!
